I know this because he believed in society more than even the constitution did.
Martin Luther King Jr was a protestor who became the most important spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He was a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People(NAACP) and in 1954, he decided to take a position as a preacher at Dexter Avenue Church in Montgomery, Alabama. King felt as though it was his moral duty to help the civil rights movement which is why he planned many activities that will help get his point across. Activities such as boycotts, sit-in protest, freedom rides, and many nonviolent protests, which led to his arrest in 1963. Martin Luther King Jr. uses different rhetorical divisions to demonstrate all the conflict African Americans were going through in the 1960’s.
The success of the American Revolution is conventionally viewed as the foundation of the American democratic spirit. However, was this really the case or was it actually a betrayal of the goals of the Revolution? The idea that the Constitution embodies the true spirit of 1776 is not very convincing because it rejected many of the most important things for which the American people were fighting. The colonists wished to gain freedom from the near-tyrannical British government and create a nation that was more decentralized where local governments drove key decisions, including tax policy. However, in the Constitution, these goals of the revolution were ignored.

He has many famous quotes such as “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere… We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressed.” and he was at the front of the Civil Rights movement.

Americans from ages nine to ninety-nine have heard the name Martin Luther King Jr. in their lifetimes. He is well known for his “I Have A Dream” speech and the numerous marches he participated in. For many Americans, he is someone that they look up to and many more aspire to have the courage that he had. Yet, what most look over when they imagine Dr. King’s impact on society, is his impact on the economy. Both of these act changed American laws so that American are treated equal the same as whites .
He grew up with a deeply rooted determination to obtain equal rights for all American citizens. Martin Luther King Jr. had a big impact on us during the 1950s and 1960s. He spoke out against racial discrimination and delivered the “I Have a Dream…” speech to end, or at least try, to put a stop to segregation. Though he never got to fulfill his “dream” of seeing our nation become free of racism (because he was shot on April 4, 1968), he does still have an impact on us today. Here’s why. Civil rights have impacted our nation in a tremendous way.

Their methods of peaceful resistance and civil disobedience to achieve integration, reflected his teachings. These methods later proved to be successful in achieving the goal integration of minorities when the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964. To answer these two general questions shortly, Martin Luther King was a black American, he was one of the most significant honest voices of civil needs movement, and hero of equal rights. Because he chose to end the racialism with principle of nonviolence or peaceful resistance, according to his said "We must learn to live together as brothers or we will perish together as fools". My research will answer these two questions: a) How he impacted the American society?
