Not only was this man the prophet that spread the virtuous principles of Islam, but he was a strong leader, a persistent chief that spoke up for what he believed in despite many threats made against him, and a strategic commander that brought success to him and his people. His father, Abdullah, died before he was born. Muhammad’s mom, Aminah, took care of him for the first few years of his life, but by the time he was seven, Aminah had passed away, too. Muhammad was then placed in the care of his grandfather, who died a few years later. For the rest of his childhood, Muhammad was in the care of his uncle, who cared for him greatly. As a child, Muhammad did not receive any formal education, and he was illiterate. However, he did develop great social skills, and was known as an extremely polite and respectful child.
