In the Umma between the 18th and 20th centuries, there was a resurgence of reform movements. Activism and revival were prominent, but also there was a decline in Muslim empires, and this was because of Europe. Internally, though, the overdependence on expansion lead to the weakening of the community. Leading into the 20th century, there was a drawing that was found that portrayed Islam giving a sense of political order. Even writings by Rashid Rida gave the interpretation as well. One of the new discoveries in this time was a type of faith called Wahhabism, which was in the newly found state of Saudi Arabia at this time.Wahhabism was a faith that lasted in Saudi Arabia for about two centuries, and was founded by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.
