How did slaves affect the daily Roman economy? The slaves had a very important role in roman society, either by their significant number or by the effect they had on the roman economy. Roman in early days, despite the existence of slavery culture, did not rely on their slaves, mainly because of their insignificant number or because of the roman culture of self-reliant and self-efficiency.
