The machine replaced simple hand tools. Hand spinning machines took the place of arm strength and animal energy. These changes in 1789 had affected only a few industries. They were key industries such as textile, mining, ammunition.
Because of the increased need for iron coal producers, coal mining in the 18th century was a major business area. For centuries charcoal was used in this work.However this was increasing costs.It was prevented by using coke.New foundries and military factories were built for meeting military needs.
On the other hand, was a revolution in the production of cheap textiles wool dress. The "flying shuttle" vehicle for the first time applied the hand-woven. It was a great success. Later attempts were made with the water power. Capacity was increased by 100 times. However, power industry based on water replace steam power in 1760.
Although,England had 150 cotton spinning machinery,a significant portion of wool and other intermediate products were preparing by hand.
