Steam engine brought a whole new world and paved a sturdy pathway to the Industrial Revolution. These marvelous machines generated spectacular noises, and the scalding steam produced tremendous power which pumped tons of water out the murky coal mines as the sweaty and dedicated workers uses all their concentration. Such progress laid the foundation of the modern world we live in. Technological progress from inventions such as steam engines, light bulbs, and mobile phones are mostly good.
Steam engines and light bulbs are technological progress that mostly brings positive effect by their usage. Steam engines “powered the factories, trains, and ships” led to the Industrial Revolution in the British Empire during 18th and 19th centuries (Fallows 64). Once steam engines are used in factories, they no longer needed rivers for power source. The development of steam engines used in trains and boats allowed land and sea transportation become faster. All those improvements caused positive growth of British Empire. Moreover, light bulb is another invention that brought positive effect.
