While all Latin American tribes contained their similarities, one tribe was the most powerful and impactful. The true meaning of power is possession of control, authority, or influence over others and success. The Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans had highly different beliefs and ways of running their empires because the tribes were each independent from each other. The Mayans were the most violent and the Aztecs were the least violent. Religion is what gave the tribes hope in the afterlife or underworld at the bottom of a cenote. The Incans had the most powerful tribe among the three because they were more unified and their organization was superior. The Aztecs had no empire and the Mayan empire collapsed.

The Incans only sacrificed children because of their purity and beauty. The capacoha was a sacrificial event where children were selected to die for the Gods by strangulation at the top of a volcano in South America. The Mayans were similar and sacrificed children because the idea of children kept their gods young and energetic. The children were pure souls and were mummified and died by suffocation, nothing brutal. The Aztecs were brutal and sacrificed ten to twenty thousand people a year. Priests cut open the victim's chests using razor blades for their beating hearts to be given to the gods. After the people were sacrificed and dead the bodies were tossed down the Templo Mayor which is a sacred temple. The Mayans believed sacrifices were the highest form of karmic healing and the Mayans ate people known as cannibalism for a protein diet. The Aztecs used obsidian-bladed swords called macuahuitl. The macuahuitls were extremely murderous because the obsidian could be split easily and making the obsidian super sharp. Headdresses made out of eagle feathers or jaguars were worn during battles to represent power and respect to the Aztec gods. The Aztec warriors were full-time commanders with great physical strength and battlefield bravery. The Incan military was organized and powerful not with technical superiority or fighting tactics over the enemy, but their great preparedness and striking the enemy with overwhelming numbers. The Mayans were violent in warfare because the Mayans wanted control of people and resources similar to the Aztecs but not as strong as the Incans. The Mayans practiced total war meaning the Mayans destroyed cities, scenes of massacres, wars, and human sacrifices were carved into stone and left behind on public
