The Treaty of Versailles was one of many contributions to starting World War II. Before the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was suffering from a great depression because of the Allies taking many of their supplies so they wouldn't go to war. Hitler saw this and thought that it was an injustice that had to be stopped. If Germany did not sign the Allies were going to start an invasion because they all wanted to be the same and to make sure that they would not go to war. Hitler wanted to stick up for Germany because he believed that they should all be free and be different from the other countries. Germany thought that this was very unfair because they not only took away their coal supply but also took away overseas colonies. Germany was militarily weak and wanted to gain their country back and thought that the only way to take it back was with war.
