During the time period of 1450-1750, there were many changes as well as continuities in the economy of the Atlantic world form. One main change during this time was, the involvement of trading European firearms and other foods. This diversified the initial upbringing of the Atlantic world trade, which was different from its original usage of exporting slaves, gold, salt, and other goods. But this was both a positive and negative change for the economical status of the Europeans earnings increased, but negatively as well as there were more weapons used for violence. In relation, a continuity that occurred through this time was the use of the Atlantic world for the trade of African slaves.

It was a very hard and bad time, but a lot of historians debate about if Europe was in a "dark age" or not. The evidence states that Europe was a dark age. There was a lot of evidence that states that Europe was not in a dark age.
In the 1500’s and 1600’s, Europe dived into an era of exploration of new trade routes. Exploration carried out by explorers like Cortes, Diaz and Da Gama led Europe into new lands. The main motivations of these explorers were to gather spices and gold. Their countries were infatuated with the spices of Asia and with precious metals. Religion was not the main motivation for European exploration during the 15th and 16th centuries; however, the search for wealth was.
The Renaissance and Age of Exploration In 1453 Europe had to take risks to get out of the “Dark Ages” and into the Golden Age (Renaissance). In the “Dark Ages” the majority of people were living in hard and poor times. Trying to get into the Golden Age started the Age of Exploration, which was a series of voyages and expeditions the Europeans made to get into the global trade and wealth of the east coast. In document one of the DBQ it says, “With trade routes to the east in hand of the Ottomans, Europeans needed to find new trade routes.” This was one cause of the Europeans wanting to explore new lands.

During the time period between 600 and 1450 C.E. along the Silk Roads the spread of luxury goods, and the spread of diseases and pathogens remained constant(Ancient History Encyclopedia) (About the Silk Road), while there were significant changes such as the Silk Roads reinvigorating during Mongol rule, and the increase of long distance and interregional trade (The Silk Road and Arab Sea Routes)( History Repeating). During the time period 600-1450 C.E. the increase of population caused many things to stay constant because a large population demands of certain things. One continuity that occurred between dates 600 and 1450 C.E. was the spread of luxury goods. The reason for this continuity is because luxury goods were highly sought-after, so the people that made that good wanted to keep everyone depending on them for that good, which kept the constant flow of luxury goods (Ancient History Encyclopedia).
One thing that has always remained the same in the region is the opportunities to trade with other nations and regions. The Classical Era saw strong use of the Silk Road, while the Post Classical Era allowed for the use of the newly renewed Maritime trade. Even still, the Early Modern Period saw the increase of trade with Afro-Eurasia with trading through the East Indian Trading Company and the Dutch East Indian Trading Company. Not only is there a change in the type of trading happening, the technology that happens around it changes as well. Currency slowly became an integral part of trading.

In the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century America, The West, Industrial and Financial growth, Immigration, and Technological Innovation all took part in the society change in America. The change that resulted from these four things was that the American society would begin as a rural agricultural society and then would transform into an industrial metropolitan society.
