Hundreds of jobs are lost. Animals rarely seen perish from the Earth left and right while others overpopulate. This is what would happen if exotic pets were banned. Exotic pets benefit both their own species and humans while learning about each other to prevent this from happening. Exotic animals not only improves their quality of life away from natural disasters and poachers, but also the quality of life from their species' in the wild with less competition. They also improve the economy because with them many jobs are made in the exotic pet trade. If exotic animals aren’t banned, endangered or overpopulated species can hop back on their feet, helping the economy and having the quality life they deserve.

Jobs aren’t the only thing that help the economy. According to Wildlife Snakes by Teresa Wimmer snakes and other animals can sometimes be raised to soon become something useful for humans, like belts and purses to carry things or meat. There has to be people to do this process, and that creates more jobs and improves the economy as well as the standard of living. More clothing and food is made for people and can make life easier and more enjoyed. Just imagine how many jobs would be lost if exotic pets were banned- towns chalk full of jobless people, with skills that would be useless to have without exotic animals, stores going out of business because no one can afford anything. Humans aren’t perfect, and there is always going to be someone who mistreats something as good as having exotic animals. However, in UK where exotic pets are most popular UK formed an organization that makes sure all animals are well treated, and if not take the mistreated animal to a shelter to nourish back to health and then given to a loving family to care. However, this does not mean all exotic animals are mistreated- according to national geographic, studies show that most people don’t buy the animal if they can’t afford it’s needs or care- and most common exotic pets such as the sugar glider actually don’t need a lot of care as much a more uncommon exotic pet like a monkey.
