We as humans spend our lives in communities along with other people. Human being formed different kinds of societies, such as villages, cities, and countries, in which each person is working to achieve their goals. Throughout history humans have developed a sophisticated network of exchange and culture mixing in which they created new societies and new races that never existed before. Strayer puts a heavy emphasis on the process of culture mixing in the history of the world. Without blending between different people new societies and empires would have being difficult to emerge. Most of the mixing process of culture did not come with peace, instead it began with wars and killings because no society wanted to ruin their own culture and kneel for others culture. They feared that in the name of mixing culture they get conquered. However, with all those restrictions and difficulties that were against it, but it happened and it altered the world into a better one. Without trade most of the exchange and mixing cultures would not have happened. The growth of long distance trade led to the formation of many states and empires with a diverse culture from other regions and parts of the world. Since the Silk Road was composed of traders with diverse religion and language, therefore many religion and language spread quickly through the whole region. Another way of mixing culture was by using force against the weak societies, they conquered the weak and set new culture and traditions for them. However, exchange and mixing of culture helped the world to grow and improve. Nowadays because of culture mixing, people understand and help each other all over the world even if they do not each other
