Employee is one of the important stakeholders for all type of organization in this world. The organization must be able to let their employees maintain minimum rights. When the employees have given the minimum right as an employee and have reasonable wages for their work, this will help to increase their productivity and motivation toward their job. There are several ways to help employee protect their right, one of the way is employees having a union membership and the employer give union recognition toward the union.
Our topic is employment relation practices in multinational company. We are focusing our research in fast food industry, we chosen McDonald as object to study. McDonald’s is the one of the most recognized brands around the world, the restaurants can be found in 118 countries. McDonald currently employed more than 1.7 million of employees working at over 35,000 restaurants in the world.
A trade union may seek recognition in an organization by voluntary or statutory. Voluntary union recognition is a union from the particular organization uses voluntary means to get recognition. This process will run without using any legal procedures.
