Not everyone believes that social Networking has impacted us negatively. Social networking allows businesses to advertise and promote their products on different forms of media at the same time. However, in saying this, research conducted prior to this investigation found various statistics that demonstrates only 32% of social media users follow businesses with their social accounts for product/service research purposes, discounts, coupons and giveaways. Along with social networking being a more inexpensive and easier way for businesses to advertise their products, it can also be an effective way for students and teachers to communicate and share information online for free. They overlook the aspects that are clearly wrong. Strong biases are show in each article as many share negative opinions and state facts to sway the reader’s. However, no form of media that was researched has stated both the positive and negative aspects of Social networking, therefore showing the bias that the writer has. Social networking articles that are either for or against social networking and the impact that it has had on Australian youths, are aimed for parents or people in the older ages trying to inform and prevent Australians making the same mistakes and bringing up another generation of youths which are obsessed with inconsequential things.

The convention of Social networking has changed significantly over time. The advance in technology has resulted to there being a large change and improvement in the way in which social networking operates. Security improvements such as the operating systems in which it is run on, and the use of smart phones being the most common application for social networking, has led to an increase in the use of social networking
