“We are the reckless, we are the wild.” The artist of these lyrics, Elena Tonra, expresses the naivety and recklessness of youth, in her song titled “Youth.” During the duration of the song, she sings about growing up and the pain this brings along. Her song is a scream of pain directed to all the adults who think that young people have nothing to worry about and they do not take the youth seriously. She opposes strongly this general illusion of a carefree youth. She also addresses a more personal point when she sings about losing her home—either her childhood or a feeling of safety—and some event or person that caused it and she blames this person for it. She paints an image of her generation: young people who have no clue where to go and how to live life. They want to die before they grow old.
