During the 1900’s, immigrants from Italy came to the United States of America looking for a better way of life in the land of the free. Subsequently, Italian-American Cuisine, like pizza, integrated into American culture. As a result, pizza is one meal consumed in large quantities by Americans every day. According to a study conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), on an average, 13% of Americans consume pizza every day as part of their dietary plan with college students, both male and female demographics leading the consumption by a combined 43% on any given day. Over the years, franchise owners of Domino’s have capitalized and continue to capitalize from the pizza phenomenon that plagues America’s households. During the 1960s, founders James and Tom Monaghan started their journey with three local stores in Chicago, which the company’s logo acknowledges with three white dots. Subsequently, in the late 1980s, Domino’s rapidly risen to fame by instituting one strategic move that devastated their competition profits, the promise to deliver pizzas to their customers in 30-minutes or less. The incentive for their customers was that their pizza order, regardless of quantity and/or cost was free if the delivery driver failed to meet the time constraint policy.
