Mr. Senator, an embargo on foreign clothing producers could affect Domestic Clothing Producers, Domestic Clothing Consumers, and Owners of Domestic Clothing Factories/Manufacturers In a big way. Allow me to explain how, and why. Before I do that, let me briefly explain why countries trade: It is quite simple, countries trade so that they have diversity in products, and diversity in styles as well. They also trade so that they can have resources that may not be available to make in their country. That is why Countries Trade.

Putting an Embargo on Imported clothes would help American Clothing Producers in a massive way. By eliminating other countries clothing from the picture, and only having the US made products in the country, it will boost the income of American Clothing Producers by a good amount. With Clothing Companies getting more money flowing in, that means they can pay their workers a higher salary. With a bigger Paycheck, that could mean a bigger Tax bill. My main point here is that if an Embargo is put on imported clothing, it will increase the sales in US produced clothing, and allow citizens that work at Cloth Manufacturing Plants a higher …show more content…

Allow me to explain: By Shutting out the imported Clothes, it forces US citizens to purchase American Made Clothing. They may not be open to this idea not only because it limits them to certain styles, but also because of the different cultures and races in America, not all enjoy American type clothes. Would there be a positive effect? Yes! Since citizens would be purchasing purely American clothing, more would have to be made. By creating more and more product, this could allow the price to drop, not only increasing the number of purchases but also increasing the range of people (ie: Poor, Lower Standard of Living, etc) that could purchase the
