Antony vs Brutus Today we will be comparing and contrasting both Brutus’ and Marc Antony's speeches. Both comparing and contrasting the believability/credibility, logical facts, and emotional appeal of each speech. There will be lines directly from the book relating to the speeches of both men. These will help show the facts of the use of logos, ethos, and pathos. The speeches can almost exactly correlate with outcome of the story. After Caesar's death Marc Antony and Brutus both came before the city of Rome and gave both similar but very different speeches. In Brutus’ speech logos played a bigger roll than anything else. Brutus tried to use his power with his name to win over the people of Rome. Brutus states in his speech “Believe me for mine honor, and have respect for mine honor, that you may believe” (III, ii, 14-16).
