The movie, A Few Good Men (Directed by Rob Reiner 1992) Shows many examples of people who aimlessly follow orders and show absolute obedience to people of power and status. The start of this movie begins with a report of two soldiers being condemned because of doing a code red that had ended up killing one of the recruits who are Santiagjo the perpetrator who acted on this are LCpl Dawson and Pfc Downey, Lt Daniel Kafee who has the responsibility to clear their names from the code red. He does but the deeper he went into the case he discovers they might have done the act but they were commanded to but a higher-up. The WRAC contains numerous experiments that have to discover breaking points and what influenced them to become obedient similar to a soldier following the commander's command no matter what. Especially in the WRAC article (Opinions and Social Pressure) such as “When a subject was confronted with only a single individual who contradicted his answer he was said a little”(Asch 55) This quote expresses how when we don’t have support when given our opinion the resolve and the innovation behind our opinion can weaken and worsen our own beliefs. Leaving people to follow the crowd and disregard what they wanted but what the majority wanted instead which is also shown in this quote “When the opposition was increased to two the pressure became substantial (Asch 55) thus showing two is better than one when dealing with expressing in what you believe in.
