Teaching the basic fundamentals of football through the use of technology. Developing a lesson plan with football as the learning content, will motivate the athletes to learn what ever materials the lesson is required. The purpose of the lesson is to take the content and utilize technology as a tool to develop new set of skills for the athletes. Instead of athletes having to sit and watch game films through a projector, which most of the time the athletes have no involvement with the use of tools in the software. The athletes will be assign assignments while using technology to enhance their knowledge using some basic computer skills. Replacing technology for another will not be necessary. Instead, the athletes will have first hands on the technology tools, that has been controlled by the coaches. Indeed, there will be instructional structure simply for this lesson materials. Athletes will learn to breakdown game film and analyze them to identify their tendencies.
Augmentation:
• Athletes will learn what data are being sorted to identify the opposing team tendency. Using the tools in the software will develop new skill sets for the athletes. Instead of them sitting down and learning through the screen, they are able to learn from a coaching stand point of how these weekly game preparations are being prepared.
Modification:
• Using football as the learning content will help athletes stay in tune with the learning materials. For this specific group of athletes, they will become interactive with each other using audio recorded software, to communicate (Podcast), and video caption to be comfortable at communicating with each other through group discussion. Also, they will learn to use word processor tools, to write weekly reflection on their progress. Football teams in college and in the NFL, ways of communicating to each other from the field to the side coaches is by sign language. Being able to communicate on the football field among each other can benefit their awareness around each other to execute their coaches playing
