I started my scouting career in 2007. I participated in almost everything that my Den and Pack did. I worked on belt loops such as computers, sports, art and other interesting and fun belt loops. As a webelo I earned all my pins and achieved my arrow of light, moving from Pack 527 to Troop 527 in 2011. Within my first year of the boy scout program I earned my family life, swimming, leatherwork, fishing, and photography merit badges as well as my totin’ and firemen’ chits. In that first year of being a scout I was extremely active, serving as troop guide and achieving the rank of scout. I made it to the rank of first class just in time to go to the National Jamboree in 2013. Before I went I was inducted into the OA as well. In 2014 I attended Florida Sea Base and enjoyed the entire time in the keys. I learned a lot about being a leader during these times and also how to be a good follower. In 2015 I went to NOAC and really enjoyed my time in coming closer with my fellow brothers as well as getting to know brothers from around the country. In 2015 I also joined and became president of Venture Crew 7535. I am currently working on my PADI scuba diving certification. I have served as SPL, ASPL, Troop Guide, and OA Rep in troop 527. I have completed my Eagle Scout project and I am currently waiting to hear back from my advisors to complete the last meetings. My project was creating a demonstration garden about native grasses of the North Carolina Piedmont. It gave information to farmers and school children about the importance of the grasses and their uses. Next year I am planning on Philmont to have 3 generations go. It’s something I have wanted to do since I joined scouts and I would hope that others after me can enjoy the same experience I will
