Statement Of Purpose: Fema Corps

I very much enjoy talking to people about their interests. Upperclass students tend to have more of an idea on what they want to do with their major, and often have more of an established routine already here on campus. Which honestly to me seems like fun to be around. However, my preference is not that strong, and I would enjoy both first year and mixed almost, or if not, an equal amount to upperclass students.

Fine Arts living would expose me to passionate artists and their ideas and art work, which is so cool. I consider myself an artist, and I love collaborating motivate and sharing resources. Whether that be sharing art supplies I have in my room, ideas or just simply connecting people. I love drawing, I use my light board all time.

I learned a lot in scouting. How to lead my peers, how to prepare for different circumstances and how to overcome challenges as they emerge. Overall my journey in Scouting helped to overall make me a more well-rounded individual.

After high school I took a gap year and pursue a year of community service in FEMA corps. Fema Corps is a branch of AmeriCorps that help assist FEMA in their disaster relief efforts. During my time I traveled all along the east coast register people for disaster insurance, as well as provide other resources and aid. FEMA corps taught focus in an office environment, seeing that I had to say on top on my own paperwork. FEMA corps taught me patience, and most of all with Federal training seminars, FEMA corps taught me about safety.

Currently I am the Human Resource Officer for the student organization AVW productions here on campus, which I have office hours in the mourning for. My jobs are to supply people with enough crew to continue to produce content effectively, oversee operations to improve communications and help plan trainings for crew. Having this occupation on campus has strengthen my time management skills as well as my work

My name is Ryan Kraynak, and I will be your new RA. I hope everyone will find it awesome living here under my RULE!!! Jk, anyway I hope everyone feels at home here, and I will try my best throughout the year to make your time and life here feel like home. A little bit about me, I’m a Media Arts and Studies major here at Ohio University. I hope to one day make movies (yikes, I know I hope it works out too). On campus I know a lot about what is going one here filming wise, so come talk to me about it if you’re interested in anything of the subject (even talking about movies). There is plenty of room on crews all time here in Athens, plenty of need for actors, editors, scoring, etc. I try to be involved as much as possible when it comes to shoots and projects here on campus. Also, currently I am trying to start up LLC to promote local artists. So, if you want to get your work out there, or even help others make art (including music), I always have plenty of resources for you guys. I love collaborating and I love helping people reach their goals. Also, I enjoy working out at ping, so if you have fitness goals, I’d be awesome we exchange some support to keep one another on
