The purpose of this assignment, is to discuss Computing in the curriculum and how it is used to support children’s learning, reflecting on my practice and professional development, identifying my next steps and what is needed to achieve my goals. I am teaching assistant in a primary school working with children aged 6-7, following the primary curriculum in England.

Using Technology for Learning.
The place of ICT in the Primary Curriculum has changed over time, from being primarily a subject in itself, to becoming a tool for use in all subject across the curriculum. Both aspects of this, are present in schools today – for example, in England there are statutory and non-statutory requirements for the use of ICT in various curriculum subjects, as well as National Curriculum for Computing, which was first introduced in 2013.
