Healthcare organizations are leveraging big data technology to capture all of the information about a patient to get a more complete view for insight into care coordination and outcomes-based reimbursement models, population health management, and patient engagement and outreach. I opted for this research for successfully harnessing big data to unleash the potential to achieve the three critical objectives for healthcare transformation:

Regulatory and marketplace changes require a deeper understanding and management of the risks within patient populations in order to drive better outcomes and reduce readmission rates. Understanding the patient in the context of who they are as individuals is essential in creating effective programs that drive change. This can be achieved with clinical and advanced analytics enhanced with big data.
Increase access to healthcare
To improve the health and well-being of our population, we must find ways to increase access through more effective engagement. An estimated 150M patients in the India in 2010 were chronically ill with diseases such as diabetes, congestive heart failure and hypertension, and they accounted for more than 80% of health system costs that year.
