The World War II has become the history for 70 years, and a peaceful and beautiful world has been coming. In the reality, plenty of people want to have a peaceful world in perpetually, and they continue to make effort to construct a peaceful world. Because when people knew their relatives were died in the war, and what they could feel was that they could not meet their relatives in the future. In the book “The Latehomecomer”, the author displaced her miserable life at the beginning of the story. Although the story seemed sad at the beginning of the book, author has achieved her successes after she migrated to the United States. I think if people want to obtain the successes, he or she must work hard in an intelligent way. It is a compelling evidence that when people concentrate on their purpose and fight for it and they have a higher probability of acquiring a success. In the article “The Latehomecomer”, the author graduated from Columbia University. There is no doubt that the author had solved varieties of problems as she became mature. Even though she had seen a lot of bloody accidents with her eyes in the childhood so that these accidents resulted in unremoved pains in her mental world, she still overcame difficulties firmly. I consider that I am able to learn much meaningful knowledge from her experience. She insisted in studying in the academic field, and exploring new knowledge insistently. Obviously, if I have the similar determination and attitude like her, I would make progresses in the academic field quickly.
