Homelessness in America Everyone has gone without something at some point in their lives. Maybe TV, cell phone and cable, but how many of us have gone without a place we call home? Millions of people in America is left without food, water and roof over their heads. According to student hunger there were 3.5 million people was forced to sleep in parks, under bridges, in shelter and in cars. People become homeless for number of reasons such as job loss, gambling, debt, relationship ends and substance abuse. The purpose of this essay is to persuade the readers why we need to end homelessness in America. Throughout the world millions of children, men, and women are dressed in rags walking the streets, often talking to stranger and holding I will work for food sign at a traffic light. Many homeless people have a big heart or very kind to others. The reason I say that because if you give them money or food they going tell you thank you or say a prayer. Don’t get me wrong you have some homeless people who are very picky about what they want to eat or they won’t say nothing at all. Some babies show a slower development from other kids who are not homeless. However homeless kids from the age of five to sixteen struggle with mental health problems. The mental health problems kids struggle with are depression, anxiety and withdrawal.
