Throughout the years the industry of sports has become a major form of entertainment, this is the credit to jobs such as General Managers. The job of a General Manager is to help shape and form a franchise team by hiring staff and athletes and taking care of the business tasks of the organization. This job comes with tons of obligations and expectations to live up to, yet if successful, you can be the cause of the team's success which follows with huge paychecks and benefits. The Job of an average General Manager is filled with tons of long and strenuous days' worth of making deals and spending money on players and investments to help increase the team's overall success. Yet the daily routine for this job can expand from time to time. During the regular season for a respective sports team, the General Managers main role is to upkeep the roster and take care of the players and staff members financial payment. When the season for that sports team is over, the General Manager has tougher issues to deal with, such as sign players, cut players, and to better understand the direction the team is trying to go into the following year. It’s important for General Managers to make the best decisions for the team during the offseason, because if not then the organization could be moving in the wrong direction.
