Within my nineteen years in this world, I can see the growth that I have achieved every day as I reflect on my life thus far. I realize that life is not just about knowing myself, but it is also about getting to know the world, the people around me, and to make a change in their lives. What does it mean to make a change nowadays? Many people believe that making a change in this world is something huge done by someone with high position, such as the President of the country with the authority to lead our nation or even a musician who's lyrics in their songs tell stories other people can relate to and give them hope. It has influenced me immensely and contributed to my development as a person and a student through different sessions of building leadership skills, getting to know people, volunteering in local communities, and sponsoring workshops to help with not just high school life but also our personal lives. I am grateful that I had the chance to be chosen to represent the organization, whether it’s in front of their campaign commercials or as a member of their LEAD Board which helps new scholars transfer into high school. Crossroads not only has enabled me to continue my Catholic education, but it has prepared me to become a hard-working, responsible, and creative leader. With all these opportunities and events I attended, it was when I started to have that genuine feeling of wanting to promote positivity to others.
I have been fortunate to be a part of Crossroads Foundation that has allowed me to continue my educational journey in a private school. I wanted to continue in this path of moral and spiritual guidance because the values I have obtained through this path has made me who I am. A Catholic institution approaches education differently. This is also the reason it was an easy decision for me to attend Carlow University. No matter how prestigious other universities may be, the feeling of being prioritized, welcomed, and not just looked at as one of the numbers I receive from Carlow will always be
