Background statement: Heritage Valley Medical Center has had a wonderful reputation for providing excellent health care services to their community. Initially, their community was 80% Caucasian, 40% African American, and 5% Hispanic. However, in the last 5 years, the population has changed to more minorities and the whites have moved out to the suburbs. This caused the Center’s occupancy rate to go down 40% because many of their traditional, more affluent, private-pay patients had left the neighborhood. To bring in revenue, they campaigned to bring in more Medicaid patients.

6. If you were one of the other members of the Smythe County ECI program, how would you counsel Carol on proceeding with the Williams family? I can see that Carol is very passionate about the Williams family, and I would use her passion to remind her to use that to do what is best for Bobby. Although, I would also remind her not to let her emotions for the Williams family cloud her judgement with it comes to both Joy and Bobby. I also would encourage Carol to connect Joy with any many outside community resources that could help the both Joy and Bobby’s with their needs.

Introduction The ability to help others that are in need has been around for many years and had evolved into a system of many different organizations that address multiple needs today. Without the assistance of human service organization many people would not be able to live the life that they do today. Human service organizations were not always as helpful and organized as they are today and have evolved into a much greater presence than they were many years ago. I will address how they have evolved throughout this paper and show the changes that have been made from the churches being the primary provider to how nonprofits have grown to be more involved in the overall services being provided.
Since 1789, the founding and ratification of the original thirteen state constitution of the United States has revolutionized its government in order to protect its citizens as new advancements are made to benefit inhabitants of the recent New World. Since then the constitution was amended in order to gratify the needs of the people. Throughout the paradigm shift on the ideal of government, it is crucial to expound any modifications by means of bureaucracy. One of the difficulties of the shift that is directed toward the 21st century is the understanding the transition of improved government and its benefits for the delivery of human services. The government uses power, democracy, and politics to exercise their control by establishing new laws,

We think in an entire other manner than alternate creatures that possess the world with us which makes our connections significantly more fascinating from an investigative perspective, if nothing else. Like some different creatures, we assemble together to frame social orders of every single diverse size in extra to the person. Nonetheless, we do this on an a great deal more muddled scale than any other creature. Human service professionals learn numerous techniques in their field of work.
I believe working in the human service field can be challenging at times. I know in my line of work as a probation officer I will encounter so many challenges and I might not be able to fix every problem. A human service professional can be defined as someone with a passion for human needs. The challenge I will encounter as a HSP would be finding free treatment for clients with substance abuse problems. Everyday clients on DWI probation are being assist for substance abuse treatment, but don’t have the proper funds to pay for the treatment.
Based on this case the cost driver is to properly distribute the direct cost among the different divisions. Dr. Julian would like to control her departments costs by having them distributed fairly among the divisions without affecting the hospital’s reimbursement/revenue. As stated in your post, chapter 2 was interesting as it provided an in depth look at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). I was not aware of all the different eleven agencies held within the HHS. These agencies deliver a wide range of health and human services. These services include life-saving research for the nation, protecting and serving all Americans (HHS.org, 2015). Like you, I thoroughly enjoyed the school of rock video which made the complex process of the passing of a bill easier to comprehend.
Hence, leaders need to be prepared and manage readiness to the alteration by making an environment of honesty and transparency for their team as a successful implementation of the change is unlikely. Employees must be part of the change hence, they must to be told about the requirement of the change and be given a reward to motivate to embrace the change. If change be accepted by all recipients it can be implemented quickly and effectively. The leaders’ attitudes and behaviors have both positive and negative alterations on the change success. Therefore, leaders of organizations need to try and develop a more framing and shaping behavior, adding skills on themselves to change and motivate the subordinates towards the embracing the change.
