When exploring deeply into my own political ideology, I recently discovered I am more liberal than I actually believed myself to be. I would consider myself liberal because I believed in things such as: immigration needing to be something available for all, welfare needing to be accessible for those who need it, universal health care, abortion being the choice of the mother, and the death penalty being abolished. Just because I am a strong liberal, I do not associate myself with a the democratic party, I believe in the best choice across all of the liberal parties. And currently, I believe the US isn’t handling them to their full potential. With the state of our energy and fossil fuel in the US, we are one of the largest contributors, emitting 25% of the world’s carbon dioxide. Another part of our global climate change is the US not looking for alternative ways of producing energy. Not only does the mining and the burning cause the emission of carbon dioxide. If we continue to use the resources at a very high rate, which the world is currently doing, we will eventually run out of the resources. Another issue that should be resolved is our health care issue. Us as citizens of the US all deserve the right to health care. As a first step into implementing is starting with those who cannot afford it. Then in the future implementing it to all citizens of the US, like the idea of Canada. Next we should fix immigration, but not in the way Donald Trump wants to by deporting all of the illegal immigrants. It should be that we help the illegal immigrants into becoming legal immigrants/citizens. They also deserve their right to all educational and health care benefits, such as financial aid, social security,
