Knowledge As Her Weapon Malala Yousafzai was born in Swat, district of NorthWestern Pakistan. In the book titled I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai with the help of Patricia McCormick ; had helped Malala to tell about her campaign for girls education. In malala’s culture, Women’s have to cover themselves with a “burqa” (long black cloth that covers from head to toe), Womens can’t be educated (prohibited of Islam called “haram”), and Women’s can’t leave the house without a present of a men (no freedom). Malala was only ten when The Taliban took over her region. Malala chooses to rebel against the traditions that suppress woman. Malala wants the world to be a better place. Her standing up against the Taliban was a real risk. In her culture who speaks against the Taliban they will be tortured to death. Malala realizes that the power of words could teach the Taliban a lesson rather than violence. In the novel I Am Malala it states “Girls are getting more deprived of our rights. I spoke about how much I loved school. About how important it was to keep learning. We are afraid of no one, and we will continue our education. This is our dream”(71). This shows Malala is tested in her brave decision talking against the Taliban. Her supporting for education and women’s rights helped her inspire people. Also it shows in such a young age, Malala was taught and was supported by others to speak out. Seeing Malala speak out was all her braveness. According to pg (81) it states “But I have nothing to hide, and I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m proud to be a voice speaking out for girl’s education. And proud to show my identity”. This means, how Malala gets involved in public speaking. Malala has outspoken to the Taliban with emotions and wants to achieve something better. Her father, who once led a school for girls and has shown bravery in supporting his daughters aspirations ; said she had long defeated Taliban threats. Malala refused to be silence and fought for her and others right to an education. Malala recognized she was not only Malala she was an outspoken speaker, writer, and activist, Malala the only one who had have the bravest heart to speak out to the Taliban. Malala had no fear but courage to speak out. In the novel I Am Malala it states “Help us appreciate the school days that are left to us,God,and give us the courage to fight even harder for more”(74). This indicates that not only Malala is speaking out on her own, she prays for her education. As well, as she wants “Falsehood” to die. Her praying gives more power and fearless to speak out. According to the text it displays “At night our fear is strong jani he said. But in the morning, in the light, we find our courage again”(65). This shows Malala’s father has no fear, but telling Malala that you have power day and night. Your identity showed the world who you are. You have the courage to move on but not look back in the past. In speaking out for education, terrorism has made Malala fearless.
