As a high school senior, I have learned that not everything you hope for in your future will come to pass. I used to pile myself with extra work at school, which is not a bad quality for one to have, but once one does not get enough sleep and spends all their time studying, it becomes unhealthy. I had the mentality that I had to be the best student in class. I realized around my senior year in high school that this was not healthy, so I started to relax and dedicate some time to myself. I made sure to give myself a reward for an hour or two in between studying. I believe I deserve to have some quality time for myself and surround myself with people I trust and love to keep me from going insane, and isolated from the world.
Throughout my high school career, I have been constantly pushing myself to do best in school. In all of my three years of high school, I have received honor roll with A’s and at least one or two B’s each term. Of course I strive to get all A’s which I manage to do, but it seems like I always get a B in a science or history class. To me education is the highlight of my day. Most people have their days that they hate going to school, believe me. I hate having to wake up at 5:30 in the morning and having to start class at 7:30 in the morning. But I do it because I know that I need an education in order to discover who I am.
