First of all, I am for replacing detention because many kids will not change their behavior of being bad and will instead keep doing what they are doing because they are so angry. That is why I’m for replacing detention.

It might be easier to learn from your mistakes and what you have done wrong and taking the punishment so that others don’t follow your actions and do what you are doing. Having an adult tell you that you have to go to detention and you have to end up in their extra would be hurtful to your learning time. So instead you can do it at your own time when it's silent work time or at lunch so you have enough time to study, work and try to figure out your
