In my assumptions, I thought that a student's intelligence can expand just by being hard-working, studying, and listening to their teacher. Then I realized after by reading these 5 research articles I know knew that there are different ways to improve a student's mind of thinking. If an extracurricular activity is added they could have a positive and negative impact on the students at the Anaheim schools. In this documentary, I have gathered a quote that Victoria says “ it’s more than just physical education, it is also to learn about their future’’(Victoria). Reynoso is principal of one of these schools in the documentary and she can even see that some of the students are improving from the dancing program. With this type of program, the kids can learn some of the languages just by body movement and the music that plays. There can also be a change of behavior of the children in this documentary and some start to know what they want to accomplish later in life. I’ve also found another quote, but I do not exactly remember who the kid was that said “ The importance of this dancing competition, is to have fun I don’t really care about the competition”(Agrelo). People know that students won’t change if they're in a single-sex class because it still matters on how the mature the student is when around fellow classmates. Hutchison and Mikulski argue that single-sex classes improve a student's education and maturity in this way. There is a quote that caught my attention in this article, which is “ Both principals and teachers believed that the main benefits of single-sex schools are decreasing distractions to learning and improving student achievement”(30). This can come in handy for Anaheim schools, but then it cannot because, like said before it still depends on the maturity of the students in the single-sex class. If single-sex schools happened in Anaheim the federal government can prevent this to public schools from that option. The reason I said that it depends on the maturity of the students is because I’ve actually run into problems like this. The classes I’ve been having throughout high school, had a variety of students that would act like 11 year olds. Instead of their being single-sex schools in Anaheim there should be more private schools for those who are mature and want to very well
