She was upset that I was hurt. And for a brief moment, I saw a flicker of love and compassion shine out of her. It was rare, and seldom seen again. That look was beautiful, and wonderful. I was so glad that accident happened, so I could finally see that she cared.
That really spoke out to me and made me believe I could do something, and that I was going to go somewhere in life. I am still very thankful that my friend took time to have a conversation with me about that, because if not I would probably still be trying to fixate my problems and
You seemed to care and seemed vested. I applaud your attitude and mindset on many aspects. But I question the genuine intent and
Something that contributes to how I define myself is the babysitter I had as a child. Her name was Janina Kolanek, we called her Jean, and she was a polish immigrant. She taught me a whole load of life lessons, both directly and indirectly, that shaped me into the person I am today. Jean didn’t necessarily have the best life. She was a prisoner of war in the Holocaust as a child and she never saw her family again after that.
So, even though he was finished his driveway and seemed tired. He came over and helped me for no reason other than the fact that he had compassion towards me. No matter what, no one can put a lock on your mind. Your mind, is were compassion is. Think of Anne Frank, stuck in an attic for 25 months.
My name, Rupert Lane is a pseudonym. I never imagined filling the real Rupert’s boots, In the 1950’s, Rupert was a tramp; not a homeless person, or dosser of the modern day. He was one of a breed no longer existing, but like the buffalo of the American plains, society decided he was in the way and no longer of use. In truth, Rupert was one of the last ‘knights of the road’.

More recently, I have experienced that the aspect of compassion towards others can ultimately be taken for granted. I have given my heart to many people in my life, whether that be my family, friends, boyfriend, even strangers. I find myself caring about those who may not have respected me or treated me in ways that I know were morally correct, yet I never lost an ounce of love for any of those people. This indeed, may be a fault of mine or an advantage, depending on how you look at it but regardless affects the way I carry through my life. This year more specifically, I have found myself distancing myself from the negativity in my life.
For me being sad and in grief were my feelings not anyone else I kept them within me and showed something different of what I feel. It's now I realized how incongruent I have been to
Socrates strongly believes that “an unexamined life is no life for a human being to live.” From reading “Apology,” Socrates has shown his people to question not only others about their knowledge, but to question one’s knowledge too. When speaking about knowledge, it’s not necessarily speaking about one’s stance in their vocabulary or how much you know when it comes to mathematics, rather it’s speaking about life subjects, how much you know about yourself relating to life in general. And that is when examining one’s life is very valuable. It not only helps you reflect back on your achievements, but it also helps you reflect back on your flaws.
Since I was young, I have been passionate about lending a hand, to a person I felt needed support and this passion helped shape what my future may hold. An event happened that has been instrumental in developing my character and guiding my choices ever since. It was a late summer night and it was almost midnight when my soccer game ended, After the game, I ran into the washroom because I was dying to ease myself. I took an excessive time and missed my ride home; they must have thought I had another ride home. My situation made me become bewildered at what to do next then, I thought to myself on giving my mother a call.
I didn't tell her where we was going or why we was going. I helped her through most of her pain and this was one time i was trying to help. She was always there for me and now i'm gonna be there for her. The way i show my self expression is the way i try to help other people. Self expression is vital part of understanding life and how it works.
I still remember the day that I talk back to my mom,she was like what?,like she never expected that I talked back at her. That day I saw the sadness in her eyes then that’s when I felt guilty for what I’ve done. I totally understand that she always wants the best for me and she doesn’t wants us to get hurt. That’s why I love my family so much that I can’t stand seeing them getting hurt because of me. Being part of a family is a big responsibility.
So don 't feel bad and don 't let this bring you down or change the way you are as a friend.¨ That 's when I started to stop and rethink what my mom said. I realized I didn 't need that
