Over the duration of this year, I believe I have increased the quality of conventions and mechanics in my essays. I have improved my mechanics in such a way that I pay more attention to the way the sentences sound and if they make sense, also how the paragraphs flow. An example of my improvement is the difference between my S.L.O.B essay and my Romeo and Juliet essay. Between the first term and the second term, I switched classes and my essay quality before I switched was horrible. I never used the correct grammar, I used so many run-on sentences that my writing was difficult to follow along with. I've improved in such a way that all of my current essays have FCA’s, follow the rubric for essay format, and my essays follow a type of structure that gets my point across and provide evidence and support my prompts. An example of my improvement is how my research project clearly states what my prompt is and I provide multiple examples of evidence supporting it. Another example is in my revised Romeo and Juliet essay. The original that has already been graded had a ton of issues and was not the best work that I was capable of the time that I wrote it. The re-wright not only fixes all of the issues but also adds more flow and concrete aspects that belong in an essay. The way I intend to write my future essays will be extremely organized and have a lot of structure. I will in my first couple of paragraphs state my thesis/topics and then provide an explanation of why that is my topic. Then I will provide evidence and support for the next two to four sentences. And after that, I will go into specifics and wrap up the paragraph in the last one or two sentences in my body paragraphs. The same structure can mostly apple to the introductions and
