Although there are approximately 40 different languages spoken in Venezuela. Spanish is the most popular there. In 1999 Venezuelan Constitution made Spanish the official language. But some people in Venezuela speak in a different language, for instance around 43.6% of their population are European. Another 3.6% of Venezuela’s population is African and 3.2% of them are Amerindians. Did you know that Venezuela has Indigenous languages as well as the 40 others? Native languages spoken in Venezuela with their origin to the languages with Chibcha, Arawaks, and Caribs. Also the people that speak those languages do not understand Spanish.
