Set a goal either general or specific and then identify the elements which encompass who, what, when where and how. Which functions do you think are most important? Explain. • The introduction is where you must capture the attention of your audience and let them know what you will speak about. It is very important that you introduce what you will be speaking about here with a quick overview of your speech as this is where the audience will decide if what you have to say is relevant to them. If you want to keep their attention, I think it is important to give them a reason, either through humor, or through a quick preview of your speech so they will want to stay with you the entire
