To begin with, I would like to discuss who is batman. First, many great heroes are born out of tragedy, and for no one is this truer than Bruce Wayne.
He was the only child in a family commonly regarded as Gotham City’s finest. But his innocence was torn away the night his parents were murdered before his eyes. From that fateful night, Bruce dedicated himself to becoming the ultimate detective. For years he traveled the world, training himself both mentally and physically. He studied criminology, forensics, and criminal psychology, and learned from man hunters and martial artists, mastering every fighting style. In time, Bruce forged himself into a living weapon to wage war on crime and injustice.

Throughout the DC universe there is more than one Earth. This meaning that there are alternate time lines. For example, on earth-11 Batman is Batwoman, her real name is Helena Wayne, and became Batwoman when her father passed.
On earth-3 Bruce Wayne didn’t grow up to become Batman instead his older brother Thomas after setting up the deaths of their parents, grew up as Owl-Man an evil version of Batman. And finally flashpoint, where Thomas Wayne became the dark knight after watching his beloved son get gunned down in front of him, Turning his mother crazy and making her the joker, and Thomas taking up the mantle to avenge the death of his
