The name of the genetic disease im going to make this report/essay on is cancers. Why? Because I want to know a little more about cancers myself and i thought that whoever's reading this would want to learn a little more as well. Theres alot of different types of cancer some can be deadly and some may be curable. Cancers can pretty much effect everything in your body. Some deadly cancers are lung and bronchial cancer, its caused by smoking or using tobacco products. Effects people between the ages 55 through 65. About 792,495 lives are taken. Another deadly cancer is breast cancer, the cancer forms in the glands or nipple where milk is produced. 206,983 people get this over 40,000 are expected to die. Mutations in that gene can increase the cause of breast cancer. Some cancers are not always genetic or inherited, some usually are. Some cancers are caused environmentally like if you stay out in the sun to long you can get skin cancer. Other are caused by life events like you inherit it or you get it genetically. “For example, mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes are inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern, which means one copy of the altered gene in each cell is sufficient to increase a person's chance of developing cancer.” BRCA gene is dominant. Symptoms of breast cancer include a lump in the breast, bloody discharge from the nipple, and changes in the shape or texture of the nipple or breast. The treatments vary on the stage of cancer but the treatments you can get are chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Personally i feel like breast cancer and any other cancer is scary. I could never imagine what people go through. Everyone should just hope for the best. I don't think that this effect just specific populations.
