Introduction

I. You hear ear-piercing screams, you see shadows being hit with a metal rod, you smell the metallic scent of blood and you feel the tense atmosphere.
II. That is a typical scene you will experience in some animal factory farms today.
III. These inhumane practices continue even today because of the never-ending demand for meat1.
IV. That is the reason my father is a devoted vegan. I never go to MacDonalds or Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) like most of you do with your family. I only head to vegan food joints with them. I guess I can call myself a “partial vegan” for now as I try to embark on a journey to convert to a fully vegan lifestyle, and I hope I can take you along with me.
