The killing of Michael Brown was very devastating for many people, but everyone who comes across this story has been one sided. Additionally, people tend to not be on the officer side because he was wrong, when Mike was wrong for assaulting the officer multiple time. First, Brown punched Wilson in the face multiple times and committed a crime before that. If Wilson did not take the precautions he did Brown would have killed him with his own gun. According to Chicago times, Brown mother felt that them not giving justice to her son that they wanted him dead. Brown was going to kill Wilson if he did not kill him first, the media was trying to shame the cop by putting a picture of Mike in the newspaper in his cap n gown. Additionally, like the judge told the jury “You cannot base this case off of your own personal experience” but off of the facts of what happened. Police officers risk their lives every day for our own safety and well-being. Think about it this way police officers do not know what they are getting into walking up on these criminals, all they know is that the person is a criminal. As a society, we tend to take the “race” and use it for everything because we just know that everything is black and white. When in reality it is just a bunch of people doing wrong and making negative decisions when it comes s to cops stopping them, instead of cooperating all the profanity and other dangerous things. As time progress many people would wish they see cops in their hallway and neighborhood, and seeing if they are safe. If you want to change it starts with you first before anyone else.
