Wide Awake Hypersomnia, Parasomnia, and Rapid Eye Movement sleep are some of the different types of sleeping disorders. According to the article Sleep Disorders written by Marie L. Thompson, there are about 70 different sleep disorders. Sleep disorders are chronic sleep irregularities, which drastically interfere with normal nighttime sleep or daytime functioning.
