Using developmentally effective approaches to connect with children and families is an important part of being an educator. We need to understand how to teach and build positive relationships with the children and their families. We need to use our knowledge about the child and where they are developmentally to be able to use a variety of different instructional strategies and tools to connect with the children and families. I think about how I can make the activities and toys more appropriate for the children. This is always important to think about because we have a whole bunch of different toys and some are not used as much because the children might struggle with them, but is we were to adapt them then the children could use them. This
