Nowadays, advertising and technology constitute central aspects of social and economic life, which allows consumerism to permeate and alter Millennials. The increased levels of advertising and promotion have led to profound psychological, physical, and financial effects on this group. Millennials are the big savviest of technology, the standard digital tool for them are smartphones, which has even a greater use than a laptop or television. Studies also show that owning smartphones are also affordable for low-income households. After males, the other group that is more likely to upgrade their phones are Asian and Hispanics. Ruiz (2015, February) states that the usage of internet among Hispanic Millennials has significantly increased. This growth has allowed this group to not only used online, but also purchased a variety of devices, products, and services on the web. Consequently, the majority of this group with an 82% is using smartphones, 78% of personal computers and 59% of tablet devices. Moreover, despite the negative view about putting and sharing personal information through smartphones, in 2015 one-third or 62% of cell phone users are using mobile applications to make payments (2016, March). Studies have also show that consumers between 25 to 34-year-olds, can be initially targeted with mobile payment features.
