Intersport is one of the most successful sport retail organizations without having a corporation in the United States. It started off with only 10 organizations, and is now known nationally in over 40 countries. Through all of the smart decision-making, products, and services; it's easy to see how Intersport climbed it's way to the top. Intersport began in 1968 with 10 organizations wanting to make a change in the sport industry. These companies wanted to expand by creating a customer-based sporting goods operation. These countries included: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland (SPRINT, np). In three short years, Intersport opened with 1,000 stores under their belt to start a movement
