On 7-31-2015 Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 6884 N.Ridge Rd. Upon arrival, Officer McClure and I Officer Butram spoke with Maranda Degennaro. Maranda had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. Maranda’s speech was unclear and she was visibly upset. Maranda was unable to stand without assistance.
CCIB Intake received the SOC 341 for resident Clothide McCord. Reporting party Tonya Hill Conservator- Deputy Public Guardian 222 W. Brookside Ave., Redlands CA 92373 (909) 798-8500. The reporting party and Public Health Nurse, Sandra Garcia visited Clothide at the facility on 12/13/16. The resident was found barely responsive and dehydrated.
On June 18th 2016 Deputy Akins was requested by dispatch to make phone contact with Antonio Johnson regarding Nia Sockwell who had fallen on Tuesday and hit her head on a towel rack. Upon making phone contact with Antonio Johnson, Mr. Johnson explained that his cousin Nia Sockwell, had fallen and hit her head on the towel rack while at her boyfriend’s home Tuesday, June 14th, 2016. Mr. Johnson said the cousin’s boyfriend is “Al” who lives at 1304 Valentine Rd Jacksonville Arkansas. Mr. Johnson could not provide any other information on “Al”.

CCIB Intake received a call from Co-Complainant Adrienne Williams (323) 802-5315 who disclosed that the son of resident Eleanor Lanzarotta in room 204 punched resident David Lester in the face. Notably David is described as having dementia with aggressive and combative tendencies. Today, April 24, 2017, David entered Eleanor 's room and struck her which resulted in her son striking him back. The complainant was not aware if David sustained an injury from the encounter due to it being the end of the shift. The complainant reported David is not appropriately placed in the facility and poses a significant risk to the other residents in care.
CCIB Intake received referral #0923-2901-5102-8047131 from reporting party (RP) Katie Hacker Sierra Child and Family Services staff member. According to the RP child Shawn Williams age 10, informed a group home staff member (name not provided) on the morning of 9/26/16 that during the night his roommate Arthur Hammett age12 had touched him in his "inappropriate parts." Shawn failed to provide any specifics regarding the incident and the RP didn 't question him due to his frequent fabrications as of late. To the RP knowledge, Arthur has not displayed this type behavior before, however Shawn has a history of sexualized behaviors which has been previously reported to CPS.
I believe the bail conditions that Omar Khadr received were fair conditions, but the Canadian government should issue and apology to Omar Khadr for contributing to the violation of his rights. Although I believe that Omar Khadr was guilty of the 5 war crime charges against him because of his confession, he should have had a fair trial regarding his crimes. One of the charges was for the murder of Christopher Speer, a U.S. soldier, during the battle in Afghanistan. In an interview with the National Post, Khadr explained the situation and how he felt before throwing the grenade. “I was thinking, ‘What should I do…?’

Kalief Browder, a 16 year old who was arrested for a robbery he did not commit. He spent three years in jail with no conviction. James Brown an impoverished day laborer, charged with murder and waited eight and a half years for his case to go to trial. Meanwhile waiting for his trial, his alibi witness had died of kidney disease. Kalief nor James could afford bail, so they had to suffer in jail for a crime they did not convict.
The following social policies and macro issues impact Neveah’s case: education, child mental health, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) equality. In 1974 congress passes the Education of the Handicapped Act, which required schools to provide mental health services to children with serious emotional disturbances (SED) (Fraser & Lanier, 2006). This protocol was included in the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and helped them gain additional resources in the school setting (Fraser & Lanier, 2006). Prior to residential treatment, Neveah attended a public school and had an IEP.
In today’s modern society, many feel that is okay for a police officer can kill a man armed with a harmful weapon at any cost. On many news channels, there are various amounts of articles and reports about a police officer committing this act. Even though a police officer has the right to take action against an armed man, this could be argued in many circumstances. On 10/26/16 CM went to unit #222 due a complaint that water was coming from that unit causing some damages to the ceiling in unit #122, situation that has been happing before and was fixed by the maintenance personal. CM ask Ms. Footman was happen she say that anything was fine in her unit, however based on CM observation , the bathroom tub was wet , signs that someone recently took a shower but the floor was dry. Ms. Footman denied having any flood in the unit at that moment. On 11/27/16 CM went to conduct the Safe Sleep inspection with the DHS Compliance Analyst Jeanette Chirico, while in the second floor we went to unit #222 assigned to Ms. Tiana Footman and her three children.
Rashid Ahmed Guided Reflection Questions Opening Questions How did the simulated experience of Rashid Ahmed’s case make you feel? Overall, the simulation case of Mr. Ahmed was a positive experience that makes me feel in control and challenged by the situation. I perform multiple nursing skills and acknowledge acquired during lectures.
