Is college worth your time to be successful? Many will argue it is, like me, others will argue it is not, and some may be stuck in between. Parents always want the best for their children and their future. As mentioned in the essay background, “A recent Pew Research study found that 94 percent of parents expected their children to go to college.” Going to college gives you the opportunity to get a good career, leads you to a better future, and if you can’t afford it, there are community colleges. Document A is based on the earnings and unemployment rate based on educational attainment of 2015. With a high school diploma the median weekly earning would be $678. On the other hand, with a doctoral degree the median weekly earning would be $1623, this is a big difference. The lower degree the higher unemployment rate.
