He is kind to his gang and helps people out and tries to learn but it isn't for him. Johnny also tries to emotionally help Pony when they were crying. He says to Pony, “stay gold, Ponyboy. stay gold…”pg. 148.
People believed Johnny was a great young man different from the rest of the gang. However, some people may think Johnny is not a hero. Some people may not think Johnny is a hero because he ran into a burning building without thinking about himself. When Johnny saw the burning church he ran inside without hesitation, in the process he did not think about how he could be hurt or even killed.
“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of their strength, but by the strength of their heart.” A hero is a person that does something to help or they can also save someone 's life. One example of, being a hero is Darry because he takes care of Ponyboy and Sodapop. Another example, of being a hero is Johnny when he saved Ponyboy and the little kids. A hero is anyone who makes the right decision to sacrifice for a person in need. For example, without heroes like firemen, wildfires and house fires would spread across the nation, costing lives and loss of worldly possessions. Firemen stand strong, risk themselves, and protect all for the well-being, safety of others, and personal property. In addition,
Heroes are strong and brave like Ponyboy (in the “Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton). Heroes are someone that puts their life in danger for another to save them. Such as Ponyboy who is a hero because he saved all the children in the burning church. Also with Johnny he kills someone, but it is done in heroism to save his friend from being drowned.
These things fit my definition of being a hero. They all showed being a hero. Heck Johnny had two heroic moments. If Dally had a heroic moment than you know for a fact that both Ponyboy and Johnny both had at least one heroic moment. These things fit my definition of a hero because they all show good deeds and they’re helping people in
In conclusion, Joseph Pfeifer is a hero. By saving so many lives, it shows that Joseph Pfeifer sacrifices himself for others, cares about others, is courageous, noble, and confident in himself, and that he perseveres when there are tough situations in his way. To me, a hero can be any ordinary person. It is his/her sacrifices and actions that make them special. Joseph was just being an ordinary firefighter, doing his job and fixing a gas leak, but he ended up saving the lives of so many people.
Johnny tells Ponyboy this because he does not want Ponyboy to end up like him when he dies young. Johnny wants Ponyboy to live a very long exciting life, but to stay out of trouble and to stop fighting with other classes because that is how he is just going to hurt
A hero can be anyone around you. A hero is a person who is strong, has courage, helps others, and does good deeds. Ponyboy deserves to be considered a hero. Johnny also deserves to be considered a hero too. Dally does not deserve to be considered a hero though, unlike Ponyboy and Johnny.
This shows how he gained back his self-confidence and his ability to stand up for himself. Johnny finally found his acceptance from Dally when Dally said, “We’re all so proud of you” (148). When Dally said that Ponyboy noticed Johnny’s eyes glowing, “Dally was proud of him... That was all he ever wanted” (148). In the letter he wrote to Ponyboy, “It’s worth saving those kids...
What is a hero? A hero is someone who is courageous and is willing to step up and fight when the time is right. A hero fights for is for the betterment of others, and not only to benefit themselves. Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are all heroes in "The Outsiders," by S. E. Hinton, although Johnny is the greatest hero of them all.
To me, a hero is someone who gives everything they have to assure the happiness of others and a hero is also someone who gives up his life or her life so someone else could live. In all honesty, a hero isn’t really what we think a “hero” is based on definitions and what the movies or even comic books have told us. Anyone can be
