Well In the book “Sugar Changed the World” By Marina Budhos and Marc Aronson, the authors show us and tell us by showing us illustrations, explaining everything and even the language that they used to describe how it was for the people working in the sugar cane fields and the purpose for writing the book “Sugar Changed the World” is to show how sugar impacted the world in a positive and negative way. Starting off with the illustrations that the authors give us, in those illustrations we can see how the slaves were treated and how hard they had to work in the fields and that helps the reader understand much more and be able to view what the authors are talking about not just read about it.
