Sir Isaac Newton framed the foundation for the creation of modern calculus through his work in the field of mathematics. His discoveries and theories are what have helped shape the field of physics today. By discovering laws, he has greatly impacted the science field such as the Universal Gravitation Law. The Law of Universal Gravitation states that any two bodies in the universe will attract each other with a force that is directly proportional to their mass and inversely proportional to the square of their distance. In easier terms, the strength of the force of gravity between any two objects depends upon the mass of the objects and their distance. If the mass increases, then the force of gravity also increases. In other words, if distance increases, the force of gravity decreases.

Newton, however, counterclaimed that even though others had laid the basis in formulating gravity, the mathematical evidences were all his own.

The world would not be the same without Newton’s contributions. Modern technology such as televisions and computers would not exist; space and various others things would not have been discovered. His studies in mathematics led to the foundation of modern calculus. Through his formulas, ways were found to solve areas space occupied by anything placed along a curved surface. That was by far his greatest achievement in the field of math. His laws of motion and gravitation also laid the groundwork for modern physics as well. Overall, Sir Isaac Newton was one of, if not the most, significant fathers of modern Calculus and all other fields of mathematics.
